The Hubble at 30: Nasa releases new images from the Caldwell catalog

For three decades, the Hubble Space Telescope has captured captivating shots of the universe. Now new images from the Caldwell catalog, a collection which features objects bright enough to be seen by amateur astronomers around the world, have been released

Caldwell 29, also known as NGC 5005, is a spiral galaxy that likely harbors a supermassive black hole at its heart. (Credits: Nasa, ESA, and L. Ho (Peking University); Processing: Gladys Kober (NASA/Catholic University of America)
