Super Mario Run
Free
iOS, Android
Nintendo’s new running game Super Mario Run is a more evolved version of the DOS-based Mario game from the 1990s. It follows the same side facing view and has a similar style of gameplay—the lead character moves on its own while users get to control his jumps and slides by tapping, double taping or swiping on the touchscreen. The fact that you can play it in the portrait mode means you can play it with one hand. It is an offline game and works on the most basic Android phones.
Cloak
Free ($ 9.99 monthly subscription)
Android
Cloak is a paid VPN service that provides an additional layer of security to your online connections. It also allows users to access online content restricted to select countries by channelling data through servers located in those countries. This means one can watch a movie on Hulu in India or download a game that is only available on the Play Store in Australia. Cloak is free to use for 14 days, beyond which users will have to pay $9.99 per month.
CineTrak

Android
This is a movie aggregator site on similar lines as the IMDB. One can look up old, new and upcoming movies on the app by browsing through the multiple genres or the list of popular and trending movies. In case you want to see the ratings or read up reviews, the app provides links to popular rating sites such as Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and IMDb. It also shows the list of all streaming sites that have the licence to stream the movie along with the cost involved.
Bilingua- Language Exchange

Android
This is a chat-based language learning app where one can learn new languages not by interacting to some AI (artificial intelligence) but with real people who know that language. It connects users by asking them the language they are most proficient in and the language they want to learn. Users can select their areas of interest and the app will connect them to like-minded users who are also learning or know the language you are interested in. Users can check their newly acquired skills in the in-app language games and quizzes. The app also supports conversation in some Indian languages such as Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil.
Nova Legacy
Free
Android
Nova Legacy is a remastered and re-released version of Gameloft’s classic first-person shooting game Nova Saga for mobile devices. It offers improved visuals, more intuitive touch screen controls and slightly different plot from the original game. Despite all the upgrades, the game takes up just 40MB after installation, which is a rarity not just in the Nova series but also in the genre. The game also offers a multiplayer mode where you can play with friends and other live users.
Power Rangers Legacy Wars
Free
iOS, Android
Power Rangers Legacy is combat-based action game based on popular TV series Power Rangers. The game feels more refreshing than the usual medley of fighter games as it involves a bit of tactic as well. Overall, it is fun to play, works offline and takes up just about 100MB of space.
