And this is the sort of flexibility that most professionals are looking for, when travelling or while working remotely. Here are some of the best picks starting at as low as Rs15,000.
Lenovo Ideapad 100s

If your workload is limited to few mails, typing out articles, making social media posts and web browsing, the Ideapad is one of the bets entry level notebooks you can get. Despite an all-plastic exterior it doesn’t feel poorly built. The compact size, light form-factor (1kg) and sleek profile, makes it easy to carry around. The 11.6-inch display is sharp (1,366x768p) and big for most of these basic tasks. It runs Windows 10, is powered by Intel’s Atom Z3735F processor paired with 2GB RAM and offers 32GB of storage. This is mid-range convertible which offers the look and build quality of a high end Windows laptop. The brushed aluminium exterior adds solidity and keeps the weight in check. It weighs just 1.3kg which is impressive for a 13.3-inch display notebook. It is called Flip because the display can be flipped backwards until its touches the back of the keyboard and used as a single screen tablet. This is the entry level of the Flip and runs on adequately powerful Intel’s 6th gen Core m3 processor known for its low power consumption. Its paired with 4GB RAM. The laptop offers 512GB SSD and claims a battery backup of up to 10 hours.

The 13.3-inch display offers a resolution of 1,920x1,080p, supports touch and has a layer Gorilla glass 4 to protect it against scratches.
Apple Macbook Pro 13

Apple’s new MacBook Pro notebook is 23% thinner (14.9mm thick) and about 200g lighter (1.3kg) than its predecessor. The size of the trackpad has been increased and new touchbar has been added right above the keyboard. It provides quick access based on the app that is open on the screen. The MacBook Pro 13 runs on Intel’s 6th gen Core i5 processor paired with 8GB RAM and offers 256GB SSD and a 13-inch display with a resolution of 2,560x1,440p. It runs the latest version of Mac OS.
