During the global covid-19 lockdowns in the first half of 2020, gyms and fitness studios were forced to remain shut. But that doesn't seem to have stopped people from meeting their daily fitness goals. As a report released by the the World Economic Forum in September reveals, downloads of health and fitness apps in the first half of the year grew by 46% worldwide. In fact, India saw the highest increase in downloads, a rise of 156%. That’s almost 58 million new, active users. The report was based on data from mobile-first customer engagement platform MoEngage.

This clearly shows that apart from investing in home fitness equipment and virtual workout classes, people relied heavily on fitness apps during this period. It wouldn’t be a surprise if such trends continued going forward. In a market that is filled with plenty of fitness apps for every kind of user, here are five great options that you can try out.

Nike Training Club

Be it yoga, high intensity interval training (HIIT) or focusing on your mobility, the Nike Training Club is an impressive app that gives you access to over 190 workouts across all these areas and more. You can even try workouts recommended by ‘Nike Master Trainers’ or community favourites. Nike Training Club is big on customization, so it won’t be difficult for you to find a workout that fits your routine. The Nike Run Club is another excellent option to use in tandem with this one.
